Internal Club competition 6th March

As mentioned today at the club, on the 6th March we will be running an internal club competition. The aim of this is to ensure that everybody has a chance to see what a real competition is like if they ever decide to enter one – which I hope people will do. Think of it as a dry run or dress rehearsal. Therefore, things will be a little different on that day. There are going to be only 9 bosses set out, with a maximum of 4 archers per boss. This means that we will be restricting shooting to a maximum of 36 archers.

The round shot will be a Portsmouth.

If you wish to shoot on the 6th, then please e-mail me at p.birch1066@gmail.com with your name and bow type you will be using on the day. This is so I can draw up the target list beforehand and distribute it ahead of the day, so everybody will know what target they are assigned to and who their target companions will be. If you also have any requests for target companions, add that and I will try to accommodate them if possible, but no guarantees on that.

PLEASE NOTE, THERE WILL BE NO SPACE FOR ANY ARCHER WHO HAS NOT ENTERED THE COMPETITION FOR THIS DAY ONLY

We will be shooting in 2 details, and will alternate details each end. Each detail will have a maximum of 2 1/2 minutes to shoot 3 arrows. The details will be controlled by whistle, and I will go through that on the day. Please can you ensure that you arrive promptly and are set up by 14:45. Sighters (2 ends) will start at 14:55. We should have enough time to complete the round. If anybody has a question about the day, please drop me a line at the email address above.
